Week 28: Brianna H. (breezerhennessy) is an incredible multi sport athlete who is going to be representing Canada 🇨🇦 in the 2021 Paralympics in paracanoe and parakayak!!! She is also a wheelchair rugby player and was the lone Canadian woman to compete in the elite level U.S. Quad Rugby Association. Prior to her injury, she was a competitive boxing champion, played ice and ball hockey!! Women In Rugby supports xvfoundation and their efforts in not only raising funds for the usarugby XVs team, but also their tireless journey to uncover facts of funding in the program. • • • Women In Rugby, Inc has donated a total of $4,000 to the usarugby Women’s XVs program. ($3,000 during the 2019 Super Series, where the players took off weeks of work without per diems issued. And $1,000 recently to go towards phaidraknight ‘s match donation campaign with xvfoundation.) All WIR money is raised through grassroots campaigning. • • • What can you do to support the future of women’s rugby in the USA? Go follow usarugby and xvfoundation. Make a donation (no matter the amount) to xvfoundation. Have your home rugby club make a donation, which is tax deductible.
