Bantam Finals of the Wave Frenzy Hockey Tournament video of the game winning goal. Congrats Sudbury Phoenix! Second place Lakeshore lighting. Have to mention what had to be the star of the game, the goalie from Lakeshore getting a standing oviation from both teams and the crowd. owhahockey bantam_lakeshore_lightning #seewhatshecando

Lots of fast and tight CWHL hockey played in front of a full house with the Markham Thunder hosting the Toronto Furies in the second game of a home and home GTA series. This afternoon’s game was the final regular season home game and one where Markham wore special purple jerseys in support of the Do It For Daron Mental Health Awareness initiative. Toronto took today’s game 3-1 and a game that the Furies had to win to keep their playoff hopes alive. At the end of the game, players and fans together formed a huge heart on the ice and put a nice touch on today’s focus to keep the conversation going on mental health issues. #seewhatshecando #ThunderNation #DIFD
Thrilled to witness the puck dropped by Hazel Mccallion and Fran Rider at today’s CWHL game where Toronto Furies battle Markham Thunder. Mccallion, former Mayor of Mississauga, played pro hockey in the 1940s earning $5 per game. She turned 98 Feb 14. Rider is a long-time CWHL board member and IIHF Hall of Famer. And so the game begins!
