There will be no Canadian university winter national championships this year due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. U Sports announced Thursday the cancellation of the 2021 winter national championships in men’s and women’s basketball, hockey, swimming, track and field, volleyball and wrestling.

On the evening of February 20, the Brock Niagara Penguins, a local adaptive sports club serving the St. Catharines/Niagara region, discovered that over $22,000 worth of handcyling and wheelchair racing equipment had been stolen and/or damaged after their trailers were broken into - 2 bikes, 1 racing chair, 2 stationary trainers, a stereo, and other bike parts. The incident happened at the Port Weller Community Centre in St. Catharines.
The police were contacted and a report has been filed. If you have any information, please contact the police.
