Saturday afternoon #wheelchairrugby action from Brooklin High School at this year’s Durham Region 2019 Ontario Parasport Games was absolutely amazing to watch. Originally called murderball, this game was invented in Winnipeg Manitoba in 1976 by four quadriplegic athletes. Now called Wheelchiar Rugby, it’s an official Paralympic sport that's played in over 50 countries. Week 36: Elena G. (elena_gamm) is a bio and psych student who has always been surrounded by sport. After her academic career she is hoping to pursue a career in Speech Language Pathology, ideally working with individuals with Autism. She has played various levels of ringette including provincial championships and university. She also played competitive basketball and rugby on the side.
