Have you heard about WINS? 🏀 ⚽️ 🏐 I had a great time attending the Town of Aurora’s 3rd annual Women in Sports (WINS) Luncheon and wanted to share what I learned! WINS provides free training in leadership and coaching certification as well as networking for women and girls ages 15 and up. In doing so, it helps to build confidence and remove barriers from participating in sports. Aurora has committed to making sports more inclusive through its Sports Plan and efforts to reduce gender gaps. I was really impressed to see free childcare available to participants! 👏 A big shoutout to organizer Hailey Jones from the townofaurora and phionaspeaks for her keynote remarks, highlighting “good team vibes/dynamics” as one of the most essential components of sport! Thank you to aurorablackcommunity_abc for including me. This is a great opportunity for local women and I’ll be keen to watch it grow in future years! #WINSweekend #womeninsport #seewhatshecando #auroraontario #womenincoaching Tags: ExploreAurora, AuroraYouth, AuroraParents, AuroraON, AuroraFamilies, YorkRegion, YorkRegionMoms, AuroraProud, WomenInLeadership, Momof2 hails.jones12 ctjumpstart seewhatshecando
