- See What She Can Do (SWSCD) is a women-led, Aurora-based organization building community and connecting active women. - Stouffville’s Women and Dog Circle, a local SWSCD chapter, recently hosted an event at Muttz with Mannerz on Main Street. - Twenty-five local women and their dogs were joined by certified professional trainer Corey McCusker for games and training. - The dogs were challenged with puzzles and an agility course, while owners experienced the benefits of mentally stimulating their pets through scent training. - After an exciting session, the dogs received plenty of treats and participating owners enjoyed baked goods and companionship with each other and their furry friends. - SWSCD was founded during the pandemic by Caroline Wiley and Tina Finelli, two mothers who wanted to create a community that embraces women’s active side. - The organization aims to foster a world “where active women are appreciated for who they are, what they can do, and how they can compete,” as stated on their website. - The SWSCD website serves as its own hub for sharing stories, resources, inspiration, and events for women to keep active. - The next Women and Dogs Circle event will be a June 10 hike at the Eldred King Forest tract off Highway 48.
