What an incredible 4 days in Montreal for the birminghamwheelchair tennis Nationals! Thank you to everyone who made this tournament happen and for making it feel extra special this year 🎾 I am so grateful to be leaving with a 4th place finish in singles and second place in doubles! I learned a lot and am looking forward to getting back home and getting back to work on the courts. All hail Halep... The Romanian wins #Wimbledon for the first time with a brilliant display!
Oh you better believe you know what we’ll be watching all weekend 👀 • It’s almost time for Wimbledon’s Finals! First up, No. 11 seed Serena Williams takes on No. 7 seed Simona Halep tomorrow at 9am ET. If Serena wins she’ll be tied with Margaret Court for most grand slam wins (men or women).😱 • On the men’s side, Roger Federer was able to get by nemesis Rafael Nadal and will meet Novak Djokovic (the defending champ) in the final Sunday at 9am ET.🎾 • So, light on the drinks this weekend so you can watch, eh. Who ya got?! #thegist @ Wimbledon

Being a woman in a “man’s world” is tough, but being a disabled, openly gay woman in a man’s world is even harder. It took me years before I had the courage to speak up for myself and for what I wanted/needed in life, but once I did, I vowed never to be silent again 😜 Finally feeling like I deserved a seat at the table, feeling worthy of living my life (in all it’s disabled glory) , was a game changer for me! Finding wheelchair tennis was a HUGE part of this realization. It’s why I’m so passionate about getting people to be aware of ParaSports and what they can do for women and girls of all ages, sizes and abilities 👱🏼♀️👧🏽👩🏻🦽 Parasports gave me the courage to stand up (metaphorically, obviously 😉) and speak up for myself, to have dreams and the determination to chase them unapologetically ✨ I don’t know who’s out there reading this right now, but I hope you know that you don’t need permission to be EXACTLY who you are. Chase your dreams, take chances, fail, try again, and KEEP trying until you make it….because you absolutely CAN! #beunstoppable #takeupspace #beYOU #paraathlete #parasports #wheelchairtennis #futureparalympian #womeninparasport #girlsinparasport #adaptivesports #adaptiveathlete #seewhatshecando seewhatshecando parasportontario onparanetwork emmadoyleiii paralympicfoundationca
