Team Brunton is composed of skip Kira Brunton, third Kendra Lilly, second Jamie Smith, and lead Lauren Rajala, and is proudly based out of Sudbury, ON.
As a newly formed team, Team Brunton brings together a highly accomplished lineup. Brunton is a two-time Ontario Women's Provincial Champion (2024, 2025), representing Ontario at the Scotties Tournament of Hearts, while Lilly adds a 2021 Olympic Trials bronze and two Scotties silver medals for Northern Ontario. Smith and Rajala have both represented Canada at the 2022 World Junior Curling Championships. This front-end duo will be entering their seventh season together.
Heading into the upcoming season, our primary goal is to win the Northern Ontario provincial championship and represent Northern Ontario at the Scotties Tournament of Hearts in 2027, with the objective of making a deep and competitive run. Along the way, we will be competing in World Curling Tour satellite events with the goal of earning qualification into Grand Slam of Curling events.
The upcoming season marks the first year of a new Olympic cycle, bringing significant changes across teams and creating a strong opportunity for our new lineup to establish itself. As we come together and gain experience, we aim to build on our individual success and grow into a consistent national contender.
Along with our competition goals, Team Brunton is committed to being actively involved in our community and supporting initiatives that promote inclusivity, accessibility, and growth within the sport of curling.
