And We’re Off!

Since this is our first blog post, we thought we should start with a quick introduction!

We’re Kira, Kendra, Jamie and Lauren, with Kim and Steve joining us as coaches this season. Together, we’ll be competing out of Northern Ontario and travelling to events throughout the season.

While this is our first year competing together as Team Brunton, we’re no strangers to sharing the ice. Our paths have crossed plenty of times over the years, whether as teammates, competitors or friends, which makes it pretty exciting to finally be wearing the same colours this season.

First Event in the Books

Our first event of the season gave us plenty to celebrate!

We made our way through the weekend and into our first championship final as Team Brunton, ultimately finishing as runners up.

There’s always something exciting about the first event of a new season, and getting to cap off our opening weekend with a trip to the final made this one even more memorable.

Most importantly, it feels good to officially have the season underway, and there’s lots more curling still to come!
