Introducing Canadian Commonwealth Games athlete, professional mountain bike rider and SeeWhatSheCanDo member Haley Smith.
Haley is super excited about her international performance prospects this season as a member of the Norco Factory Cross Country Elite Women's mountain bike team. Her 2018 mountain biking season has already gotten off to a great start when she captured the Women's Mountain Bike bronze medal while competing for Canada in her first ever Commonwealth Games this past April in Gold Coast, Australia.
After taking a well-deserved post Commonwealth Games break, Haley's professional racing season resumes May 20th in Albstadt, Germany which is the second stop of the 2018 Mercedes-Benz UCI (Union Cycliste Internationale) Mountain Bike World Cup. She will then compete again on May 27th in Nove Mesto Na Morave in the Czech Republic to compete in the third stop of the greuling and travel-heavy UCI World Cup circuit.
