19-year-old Canadian wins Tahiti, Fiji and Trestles back-to-back-to-back, moves to World No. 5 and secures the fourth Championship Tour victory of her career.
Canadian surfer Erin Brooks has won the 2026 Lexus Trestles Pro at Lower Trestles [California], securing her third consecutive World Surf League Championship Tour victory.
The 19-year-old Canadian defeated Hawaii’s Gabriela Bryan in the Final with a two-wave total of 13.00 to 11.90, adding the Trestles title to consecutive victories at the Outerknown Tahiti Pro and Fiji Pro.
The result marks the fourth Championship Tour victory of Brooks’ career and moves her to World No. 5 in the WSL Championship Tour rankings with 38,000 points.
Brooks produced a strong performance throughout the event. Earlier in the competition, she defeated Olympic gold medallist Caroline Marks 12.27 to 11.70 before advancing past five-time World Champion Carissa Moore 15.33 to 13.10 in the Quarterfinals.
Her victory at Lower Trestles completes a three-event winning run across Teahupo’o, Cloudbreak and Lower Trestles, three of the most established venues on the Championship Tour.
The Trestles result also carries additional significance ahead of the next Olympic Games. Trestles State Beach has been selected as the surfing venue for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games, where the world’s leading surfers will return to compete for Olympic medals.
Brooks’ recent results continue to strengthen Canada’s presence at the highest level of international professional surfing. Her progression into the world’s top five, combined with three consecutive Championship Tour victories, represents an important milestone for Canadian surfing and provides increased international visibility for the sport in Canada.
Her performances also continue to establish new benchmarks for Canadian athletes competing on the Championship Tour and provide a clear example for the next generation of Canadian surfers pursuing international competition.
Brooks entered the Trestles event following victories in Tahiti and Fiji.
At Teahupo’o, she earned her first Championship Tour victory as a full-time CT athlete. She followed that result with another win at Cloudbreak, where her performance included a Perfect 10 during competition.
She then carried that momentum into Lower Trestles, securing a third consecutive victory and moving into fifth place in the world rankings.
