Canada's Erin Brooks Wins 2026 Outerknown Tahiti Pro, Becomes Youngest Surfer To Win Event

The Tahiti title is the second Championship Tour victory of Brooks’ career. Her first came in 2024, when she entered the Fiji Pro at Cloudbreak as a wildcard and went on to win the event.

“Erin continues to demonstrate that she belongs among the very best surfers in the world,” said Surf Canada “To win at a wave like Teahupo’o and become the youngest surfer ever to win this event is an extraordinary accomplishment. Erin continues to represent Canada with determination and confidence on the world stage, and we could not be prouder to see the maple leaf at the top of the podium.”

The victory in Tahiti also sets the stage for Brooks’ return to Cloudbreak, Fiji, as the WSL Championship Tour continues its South Pacific leg.

Brooks will arrive in Fiji with momentum and a history of success at the venue where she earned her first Championship Tour victory two years ago.

For Surf Canada, Brooks’ historic Tahiti victory represents another significant milestone for Canadian surfing and the continued emergence of Canadian athletes at the highest levels of international competition.

Congratulations, Erin! 🇨🇦
