Echo Bowl will once again be hosting the Ontario High-Low Doubles / Inter-Provincial 5 Pin 18 Provincial Championships on February 22 2020. Echo Bowl is located at 760 Colborne Street in Brantford and has twenty-four 5 pin lanes. The High-Low Doubles tournament is one of the most popular events on the 18 calendar. Bowlers qualify in their own leagues in the 18 centres where they play. The format of this tournament is unique whereby a high average bowler is paired with a low average bowler to form a doubles team. Once a team has qualified in their league round they advance to the Zone round. Winners of the Zone rounds then advance to the Provincial Championships to compete against teams from all across the Province. At the Provincial Championships four games will be bowled using a pins-over-average format. The team that finishes in first place based on a total team pins-over average basis will be proclaimed Provincial Champions. The teams finishing in the top two positions will have the opportunity to form a four person team which will represent Southern Ontario at the Inter-Provincial Championships in Winnipeg Manitoba from April 23 to 26 2020. A coach will be assigned to the team who is Community Coach Certified or higher. Come out to Echo Bowl on February 22 to watch some fine bowing as the competitors vie for the title of Provincial Champions and the chance to represent Southern Ontario at the Inter-Provincial National Championships in Winnipeg April 23 to 26.
