SWSCD PK: Camping Season is Coming

As the snow melts in Ontario, our thoughts at SeeWhatSheCanDo turn to planning our camping excursions for the coming summer season.  Some of our favourite experiences are canoe tripping with friends and family in Algonquin Provincial Park.  We have enjoyed dozens of trips throughout the park and are looking forward to our next adventure this August.  There is something special about the peace and tranquility of enjoying everything Mother Nature has to offer.

We have found over many years that having good quality equipment is a key factor in fully appreciating the diversity that backcountry camping in Canada's wilderness can offer.  Whether it's raining, windy, sunny or cold, we've always appreciated good gear and clothing that can adapt to all the elements.  We highly recommend checking out Mountain Equipment Company to help you get started or to upgrade your current equipment.  From waterproof packs, to cookware, to relaxing in a hammock, MEC camping gear has it all.  Even for seasoned backcountry enthusiasts, there's something exciting about finding that new piece of gear to add to your camping experience.

Throughout the coming months, look for future SWSCD blog posts where we'll share some of our 30+ years of experience enjoying Canada's backcountry.  We hope you enjoy them.  Go ahead and book your next camping trip and let the planning begin.
