Stroud Sleeman Cash Spiel Recap

We came up just short of capturing the Stroud Sleeman Cash Spiel title for the second year in a row.

After a first-round bye, we faced Team Despins in the ‘A’ side semifinal and came away with a 6-2 win. We followed that up with a 7-2 victory over Team Wasylkiw in the ‘A’ qualifier to secure our spot in the playoffs!

Coming out of the ‘A’ side meant we were pre-qualified for Sunday’s playoffs, giving us Saturday off to recharge. We took advantage of the extra time with a practice before heading to 99 Bottles in Elmvale for lunch. We enjoyed some amazing food and drinks, and even left with some goodies to take home. A big thank you to 99 Bottles for the great hospitality!

On Sunday, we had a bye to the semifinal, where we faced Team Duncan and picked up an 8-1 win to advance to the final.

In the championship game, we battled Team Middaugh in a close contest filled with some incredible shots. In the end, we came up just short, falling 3-4.

Congratulations to Team Middaugh on capturing the title, and thanks to everyone who helped make this a great event!
