October was a whirlwind month filled with miles, memories, and some seriously good curling! From late nights in Toronto to early mornings out west, we’ve been putting in the work and having a blast along the way.

Kicking Things Off in Toronto 🍁

We kicked things off in Toronto with a strong showing at the Stu Sells Toronto Tankard, facing an incredible international field. Our round robin featured some exciting matchups — and a few tight finishes:

Round Robin: vs. Fujisawa (JPN) – L 5–7
Round Robin: vs. Dubberstein (PHI) – W 8–2
Round Robin: vs. Kang (KOR) – W 7–6
Round Robin: vs. Schwaller (SUI) – W 9–6
Quarterfinal: vs. Schwaller (SUI) – W 9–3
Semifinal: vs. Ha (KOR) – L 3–9

It was a semifinal finish for our team — a great confidence boost and a strong way to start our October stretch.

Heading West to Okotoks, AB 🌾

Next, we packed our bags and headed west for the Autumn Gold Curling Classic in Okotoks. The event didn’t quite go our way results-wise, but it was full of learning moments and some scenic views! 🏔️

A Strong Finish in Beaumont 💪

To wrap up our western swing, we travelled north to Beaumont for the GSOC U25 Slam, where we made another deep playoff push. After some exciting games and clutch performances, we reached the semifinal once more, this time bowing out in a shootout—a nail-biter to the very end!

Rest, Recovery & Mixed Nationals

After a busy few weeks, we’ve been taking a little time to rest and reset. Meanwhile, Emma and Jamie have been keeping the Artichuk spirit alive, representing Team Ontario at the Canadian Mixed Nationals! We’re so proud of them and can’t wait to have the full squad back together soon.
