Week 18: Jaime B. is a competitive and recreational Ultimate player! She's been playing for over 20 years! She is also a breast cancer survivor, who is passionate about sharing with others the importance of holistic self-care. Physical care is important, but so is mental and emotional care! Week 29: Emma-Tyme M. (em_tyme) is a multi sport athlete. She played for the women’s Western ultimate team uwoultimate and recently snowboarding as well! She is also a working traveler and she’s had the opportunity to play ultimate in various parts of the world, including Tasmania! The important lesson she learned in sport she applies to her daily leadership is: to show up! Week 26: Karissa C (karissachan_ ) is currently pursuing her Master’s degree at Ryerson. She has always been a multi-sport athlete, most notably as a national-level badminton player 🏸 and then ultimate player for tox6ixultimate and uwoultimate. She believes more girls should be introduced to STEM at a young age to combat stereotypes surrounding the STEM fields. Week 23: Lara M. played Ultimate 🥏at various competitive levels including club, varsity and world championships! She represented Canada 🇨🇦 and served as co-captain for an amazing crew of strong dynamic women leaders and won many medals!! She is proud of her Sqwá First Nation (Stó:lō/Pilalt) ancestry and a dedicated athlete, she was humbled to be awarded Canada’s National Tom Longboat Award for Female Indigenous Athlete of the Year in 2005.
