WINTERBERG, Ger.—Trinity Ellis slid into 2024 with a solid 15th-place finish to lead four Canadians in women’s and men’s singles races at the Luge World Cup in Winterberg, Germany.
Ellis, of Pemberton, B.C., matched her best result in Winterberg, clocking a two-run time of 1:52.879 on the 15-corner track.
Weekend Highlights:
- All five Canadian sleds qualified for the World Cup singles and doubles races through Nations Cup;
- Trinity Ellis matches career-best finish in Winterberg;
- Embyr-Lee Susko wins bronze medal in Nations Cup;
- Caitlin Nash was 17th in her first run, but dropped to 25th after run two;
- Embyr-Lee Susko clocked the 16th-fastest second-run down time at 56.433;
- Dylan Morse slid to 25th in his first World Cup in Winterberg;
- Men’s doubles team did not start due to illness.

“It was lots of fun. We had a big weather change today (Sunday) with harder ice and harder conditions but I think everyone had a lot of fun with good racing.”
