Meet the Team - Brooklyn Ideson (Vice for Team ONT#1)

**Brooklyn's Journey: Balancing Studies and Curling Success**

Hey there, sports fans and curling enthusiasts! Today, we're going to talk about Brooklyn, who's just starting her first year at Western University. She's working hard towards a Bachelor of Science degree, and while school is essential, there's more to her story.

One big part of Brooklyn's life is curling. It's a sport she loves, and it's been a big deal in her family for a long time. Her dad is a successful wheelchair curler, with three Paralympic medals and nine world championships. He's been a huge influence on Brooklyn's curling journey.

Speaking of curling, Brooklyn did something pretty cool. She represented Ontario at the U18 Nationals in both 2022 and 2023. At first, she played different roles on Team Ontario 2, like lead and 5th. But this year, she's stepping up to play for Team Ontario 1, which is a big deal and shows how much she's grown in the sport.

Outside of school and curling, Brooklyn enjoys some simple pleasures. She loves reading, especially books that take her to different places and let her see the world from new perspectives. Music is also a big part of her life, and she's a big fan of country songs because they tell stories and make her feel all kinds of emotions.

And guess what? Brooklyn has a love for road trips. Exploring new places and making lasting memories is something she can't resist.

Brooklyn's journey is all about hard work, both in school and on the curling rink. Her dad's support and her many interests make her a well-rounded person. We'll keep you updated on Brooklyn's curling adventures and her pursuit of success in the sport, so stay tuned!
