Concept of Movement is a physiotherapy and performance wellness centre offering physiotherapy, massage therapy, athletic therapy, movement training, PEMF and acupuncture. Our office is situated at 110 Bradford Street in Barrie, Ontario, making it commonly frequented spot for physiotherapy Barrie pain relief.
We have a highly experienced team of physiotherapists who offer specialized treatment services for any pain, injury, or discomfort you may be feeling. We treat all sports related injuries and complicated recurring injuries that continue due to imbalances in the body. We have had success treating a wide variety of clients including Professional Hockey Players, Olympic, National and Provincial Athletes, University Varsity Athletes, Ultra-marathon Runners, Junior Hockey Players and a variety of youth teams and individuals.
Our treatment philosophy includes using manual techniques, pemf and acupuncture to restore normal joint and soft tissue mobility, then supplementing it with functional corrective exercise techniques and movement strategies to prevent injury recurrence.
We not only treat the initial injury but help prevent future injuries by educating and teaching how to move better. By understanding where and how movement is generated, you learn how to move more efficiently which helps to prevent further injury. This enables you to continue the sports and activities you enjoy doing. As experienced physiotherapists, massage therapists and movement therapists so we really understand how to retrain movement patterns and correct faulty ones which will provide the foundation for safe and effective performance.
Good movement translates into the ability to generate power and strength with maximal energy, efficiency and that results in a strong body and long active lifestyle.

Highly recommended location. Everyone is very welcoming, and the environment is always clean.
My Chiropractor is Sebastian who is extremely knowledgeable. He listens and answers any of my concerns. He also walks me through my treatment so I feel comfortable throughout. In a matter of only a few appointments I’ve gone from being in constant pain and unable to do much, to getting back to my normal routines, which is amazing. Thank you, Sebastian!!
Update: I’m also working with Dustin for Physiotherapy on my shoulder. Dustin’s experience and patience has provided me with pain-free movement. Thank you, Dustin!

I came here as my shoulder and trap were giving me problems and I knew just stretching wasn’t going to cut it.
Micheal did a full body assessment pointing out imbalances that he was able to see based on my mobility, and we had a long chat about my history and lifestyle. Once he was able to assess the problem area he put together a plan on how to heal and move forward in clinic with acupuncture and dry needling, as well as at home exercises. Micheal was professional and thorough and the team at the desk was always helpful and kind. Highly recommend.
